With the successful launch of the Falcon Heavy rocket, Elon Musk wanted to do something extra special for the 5,000+ employees at SpaceX. With event production by Best Events, we were creatively Inspired by Elon’s ‘Burning Man’ experiences and wanted to deliver an event that could match the spectacle of Black Rock City. After debating party themes like “New Year’s Eve” and “Oktoberfest”, we ultimately just figured…why not do all of them?

“The Party to End All Parties” became an immediate hit with the SpaceX team. To ideate on what major events would be included, we started with celebrations in America - New Years’ Eve, Superbowl, Burning Man, Mardi Gras, until moving on to the world at large. We ended up adding in Thailand’s “Full Moon Party”, Chinese New Year, Cinco de Mayo in Mexico, Oktoberfest in Germany, and San Gennaro Festival in Italy.
We needed a venue that could host a massive group and act as a natural city backdrop - so Best Events called their friends at Paramount Studios. In total, “The Party to End All Parties” had a total guest attendance of 8,000 people. The final buildout stretched from Melrose Gate to Hollywood Forever Cemetery, covering almost 250,000 square feet of land. The SpaceX team was ecstatic with the events’ success, and employees returned home with a night of unforgettable memories.
